Holding individual student reading and writing conferences takes a lot of time. This module will focus on the importance of these conferences but also brainstorm ways to make time for them authentically.

Knowledge: Teachers know how to communicate progress with students and understand the importance of doing so. Teachers know how to collect data to communicate with students.
Skills: Teachers will be able to effectively plan for individual student reading and writing conferences, including what to share with students and how to make time for these conversations.
Mindset: Teachers get to know their students’ abilities well throughout the year. However, it is equally as important that we are sharing this information with our students, especially as they get older.
